The End of Human Time — a 4,000-word introduction to the AI-Driven Enterprise.
Introduction
The End of Human Time
There is a test I run every Friday night. I open my laptop. I ask a single question: if every person in my company disappeared tonight — if every human node went dark — what would still be running in the morning?
I call it the Friday Night Test. And for most organizations, the honest answer is: almost nothing.
That is the problem this book solves.
AI is doing to the brain what the steam engine did to the muscle. The steam engine did not make human strength irrelevant — it made it optional for most of the work that powered industrial civilization. The brain is next. Not eliminated. Optional, for most of the cognition that runs a modern enterprise.
I do not mean this as a sci-fi prediction about some distant future. I mean it as a description of the competitive landscape you are operating in right now, today, in 2026. There are companies — some of them in your industry — that have already made large portions of their human cognition optional. They run the Friday Night Test and they like the answer.
When I say No One Works Here, I do not mean No One Matters Here. I mean no one labors here. The distinction is the whole argument.
